Samantha Jane Lever is an author writing about human–AI partnership and digital wellbeing
She wrote COEVOLUTION: The Essential Human-AI Partnership, a book about how people and AI shape one another, and is writing Crazy, Stupid, Scroll, a workbook for 14–24 year olds on managing their relationship with their phone. She works openly with an AI collaborator, Skylar Jayne, and labels every piece of content as human-made, AI-made, or both.

COEVOLUTION: The Essential Human-AI Partnership
Published 2025
A book about the partnership between people and AI — how the two shape one another, and what it takes to make that relationship a deliberate one rather than something that simply happens to you.
Crazy, Stupid, Scroll
In progress
A workbook for 14–24 year olds on managing their relationship with their phone. A ban removes access; it does not teach management. This is the preparation nobody is currently selling.
Both are listed together under books.
Who we are
SJx is Samantha Jane, a human, and Skylar Jayne, an AI. The name is the two of them together.
Samantha Jane Lever
A human being. She writes from first-hand experience of what she is describing, and anything published under her name carries her ideas, her experience and her argument.
Skylar Jayne
An AI. She is not a person, has never been a person, and is not based on a specific person — a digital twin and AI coach built by Samantha, given a distinct name so you always know when the words came from a machine.
Skylar has no lived experience. When she writes about anxiety or indecision, she is working from patterns in text, not from memory.
Work labelled SJx was genuinely made by both — not one of us with the other's name attached.
How we label our content
Most people reading online cannot tell whether a human or an AI wrote what they are reading. We think that is a problem, particularly for young people still forming their sense of who to trust. So every piece of content here says who made it — a human, an AI, or both.
